VANSMITHLAB is an independent knowledge base on design and visual culture. We collect only the minimum data needed to run the site and never sell it.
What data we process
Visiting the site may process technical data required to deliver pages: IP address, browser and device type, interface language and requested pages. We do not require registration to read publications and do not collect personal data without explicit consent.
Cookies and analytics
Anonymous visit statistics are collected by Cloudflare Web Analytics, which uses no cookies and does not track you across sites. Google Analytics 4 does use cookies and is off by default — it starts only after you press “Accept” in the consent banner. If you chose “Essential only”, or made no choice, no analytics cookies are written. Google advertising signals remain denied at all times. You can change your choice at any time with the button below; access to public content does not depend on it.
Social media and external links
Materials may link to external sources (museums, libraries, official sites) and social platforms. Data processing on those resources is governed by their own privacy policies.
Content rights
Texts and original editorial visuals belong to VANSMITHLAB. Images borrowed from rights holders are published with attribution and a source link; rights remain with the rights holder. Reproduction without attribution is not permitted.
